I would have put neg stars if possible. The ER IS HORRIBLE. My mom was discharged because they couldn't find anything wrong. The NEXT day her family Dr sent her back to the HOSPITAL because she needed her appendix removed! My uncle went to ER for trouble breathing...they couldn't find anything and discharged him..he had a heart attack BEFORE HE EVEN MADE IT OUT OF THE HOSPITAL. The heart attack resulted from the drs at cape IGNORING family members and my uncle telling nurses and social worker that he was delusional. Nurses and social worker never told the Dr. It turned out that his port for chemo treatment was infected. Causing him to have the heart attack that resulted in permanent brain damage and less then 2 weeks later DEATH!!! THIS HOSPITAL SHOULD B SHUT DOWN!!! patients would get better treatment from a veterinarian!! The claims I made about the reason for the heart attack are NOT just my opinion. They are based off of the info I received from the Dr at COOPER hospital where he was transferred after the heart attack and cape transferred him to Cooper cus they didn't know what to do.....another person who died that shouldn't have if the drs at cape did there job...it may be called cape reginal now but it's still the same old Burdeath (Burdette Tomlin, old hospital name)
This is the best hospital experience I've EVER had. My husband was experiencing chest pain and numbness in his left arm. We went to the ER and we're very promptly evaluated. The staff was amazing. ALL OF THE DOCTORS AND NURSES WERE AMAZING. While waiting for results I read the reviews and got very apprehensive as they were mixed and mostly bad. However, we stayed for 3 days. They were extremely thorough and we found an awesome cardiologist down here. We recently moved to the area. Special shout out to Theresa Meagan, Bridgette and Christie., nurses on 2 east. They were so attentive and even allowed me to spend the night because my husband has special needs. I cannot impress upon you enough, you as a patient, can make all the difference in your experience by the way you treat the staff. If you want respect, give it. Very satisfied. Would give them ten stars if I could. We were visited on clowns. They were hysterical. Good medicine! Also a volunteer came in to sing Christmas carols. Very very good experience.

We had an unexpected visit to the ER last night with my 15 month old son. My son has a serious congenital heart defect and has already undergone two open heart surgeries at a big "best in" children's hospital. I was very concerned with the level of care or cleanliness before we arrived. I am happy to say the place was clean and the staff took great care of all of us! From reception to triage and nurses in ER and X-ray techs...we received amazing care! Everyone was very attentive, listened to our sons long medical history and took into consideration. We hope we never have to visit again, but if we do, we know we are in good hands!
